I joined the Gripple graduate scheme in 2012 and have progressed throughout the group, working for both Gripple and Loadhog, developing and introducing products which contribute millions of pounds to our 25% new product target.

Armed with a first class degree in business and enterprise management from Sheffield Hallam University, I became a graduate trainee on Gripple’s inaugural graduate recruitment programme at the age of 22, after coming through a tasking selection process.
Throughout the scheme, I undertook challenging projects in accounts, sales, ideas and innovations, marketing and production, which allowed me to genuinely have an impact on the business very quickly after started and culminated in being appointed as a junior product manager at Gripple. I was supported by experienced colleagues to try new things, develop and implement ideas and work on my own initiative to the benefit of both the business and my own development.
I was subsequently offered an opportunity to become the first product manager at our sister company Loadhog, a transit packaging innovator. Here I was able to develop my commercial ability and face customers without a sales burden, whilst also charged with the research and development of new products.
I later returned to Gripple as a product manager and in 2018 progressed to Head of Product Management, leading a strong team of product managers tasked with delivering significant new products in line with our company strategy of 25% of all sales revenue coming from products of less than five years old.
