We're hosting EO Day in South Yorkshire!

We are thrilled to be hosting a special celebration event for EO (Employee Ownership) Day at our GLIDE House premises today!

Our Group MD Ed Stubbs and members of our GLIDE (our employee ownership model) team are looking forward to welcoming over 70 people, including representatives of the EOA (Employee Ownership Association), the Ownership Hub in South Yorkshire and employee owners from local and national businesses.

The day will start with a round table speed networking event, followed by a champagne reception and three course lunch. After lunch, there will be keynote speeches from South Yorkshire’s Mayor Oliver Coppard, our Group Managing Director Ed Stubbs, Patrick Lewis - former CFO of the John Lewis Partnership, James de le Vingne – CEO of the Employee Ownership Association and Colette Harvey, Partnerships & Communities Manager at the Ownership Hub in South Yorkshire.

At the same time as this event is taking place, our 550 employees at sites around South Yorkshire will be enjoying a lunchtime BBQ, to celebrate EO Day throughout our business.

We recognise that employee ownership is driving this resilience and productivity and EO day is a fantastic opportunity to not only celebrate the excellent employee-owned businesses in the region, but to share our enthusiasm for continuing to grow the sector as well.”

Our event at GLIDE house is the culmination of a week of activities, with the national EO Day campaign expected to reach over 1m users across social media, making this year’s celebration the biggest ever. This 11th annual EO (Employee Ownership) Day involves thousands of employee owners, businesses and supporters of employee ownership from across the UK joining together to raise awareness of the benefits and impact of employee ownership.

This year EO Day is celebrating employee ownership’s impact on business, the economy and society as a whole, as well as raising awareness of the journey so far and the opportunity to further grow employee ownership.
