Introducing the new and improved Gripple B-LOCK Hanger

Since launching in 2020, the Gripple B-LOCK hanger has been a staple in many contractors' toolkits. Making suspending building services more simple and efficient, the B-LOCK hanger is significantly faster to install than traditional rod supports. With a safe working load of up to 70kg, it is ideal for mechanical, electrical, lighting, and acoustic applications. Listening to our customers, we have identified several improvements and we're happy to announce our new and improved B-LOCK hanger is now available. Here's how it can help you.

Easy Installation

Requiring no specialist installation tools, one of B-LOCK’s standout features is its slide release mechanism. Allowing for rapid wire hanger installation and adjustment when working at height, it’s a game-changer in making the installation of MEP services easier, eliminating the need for cutting, de-burring, hot works or specialist tools in favour of a simple push-fit design.

Previously housed within the product's central mechanism, the new B-LOCK hanger features an improved release mechanism, for enhanced push-fit operation and more ergonomic design. With clear wire entry arrows, B-LOCK is now more straightforward and intuitive, giving contractors a familiar look and feel with improved useability, making quick adjustment and installation even easier on-site.

Long Lasting Performance

Ensuring reliable long-term performance is a key consideration in construction and with this in mind, we design systems to last the lifetime of a building. Made from high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials, the new B-LOCK hanger features a larger zinc alloy housing, offering increased durability without compromising its discreet, aesthetic design.

Internally, durable sintered steel toothed rollers provide enhanced grip and stainless-steel springs deliver improved wire engagement, resulting in a stronger, more reliable wire grip.  With a safe working load of up to 70kg, the hanger is suitable for suspending cable containment, mechanical equipment and steel ductwork. Compatible with 1.5-, 2- and 2.5mm diameter wire rope, it's extremely versatile in various applications.

Independently verified by Lloyds, APAVE, TUV and ITB with a 3:1 factor of safety, B-LOCK is a solution you can rely upon, whatever the application.

Improved Packaging

Increasingly, contractors are asking more of suppliers and it's the Gripple way to go above and beyond. In addition to product improvements, existing B-LOCK users will also notice several innovative updates to the product's packaging.

Focusing on supporting customers to reach sustainability targets, we have focused on ensuring the packaging is more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Made from 60% recycled material, the packaging is now made entirely from cardboard, ensuring it is fully recyclable with no unnecessary waste.

The B-LOCK Combo Packs have also been completely redesigned for improved user-friendliness and easier transportation around the site. Hangers are neatly stored on one side of the box, while the wire is conveniently kept on the other, making each component more accessible when you need them. There is also an integrated wire dispenser ensuring easy and efficient wire use without tangling. The size of the Combo Packs has also been optimised for easier handling with dedicated thumb handles added, allowing for a secure grip - even with gloves on.
