Gripple & Gripple Automation Shortlisted!
We’re happy to announce that we have been shortlisted at the upcoming Made in Sheffield Awards!
The ‘Made in Sheffield Awards’ is a prestigious event that celebrates excellence in manufacturing from across the Sheffield city region. The awards ceremony this year will take place at The Cutlers’ Hall in Sheffield on Thursday 28th April with winners awarded in seven different award categories. On this occasion, we have nominations in two categories.
Firstly, a huge congratulations to Gripple Automation’s Ellis Bloomer, who has been nominated as ‘Apprentice of the Year’. This award recognises an individual apprentice in a manufacturing company of any sector and size. The individual must be enrolled in a formal apprenticeship, traineeship programme or vocational degree course. The judges will be looking for the individual who has shown the greatest achievement, contribution to their employer and potential.
Alongside this nomination, we are thrilled to say Gripple has been nominated for the 'Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturer' award. This is a newly created award, launched to reflect the surge in demand for green and renewable energy solutions, with many organisations in South Yorkshire being pioneers in this field.
The ‘Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturer’ accolade will recognise the company that has demonstrated the greatest commitment, through its products and processes, to forging a sustainable future for its business and region. Recently, Gripple launched its 'Journey to Climate Positive' which will see the business look to reach a carbon neutral position across UK operations in 2022 and achieve carbon neutrality across the global business in 2023 as well as achieving Net Zero by 2030.
