Frequently Asked Questions

Wire rope offers several benefits when compared to traditional solar installation methods. They include an up to 90% reduction in materials, significant time and cost savings, and improvements in the carbon footprint of the project.
The anchor works in tension. The frame designer needs to allow for any compression using the frame design – for example by using feet for the table leg.
The maximum load for the anchors is 12.0kN – its performance is dependent primarily on the soil type. Refer to brochure for full product specifications.

Use the JackJaw to ‘load-lock’ the PV Anchor, before tensioning the above-ground cable with a Gripple Dynamic and the Torq Tool.
Usually the cable is wrapped around the leg. Some frame OEMs sit the cable on a bolt.
No, but if you are worried about this we can supply a rubber sleeve to go cover the cable to allow the cable to avoid direct contact with the frame.
