Data Management and Product Coordinator

The role
This is a great opportunity for someone to introduce robust processes for creating new part codes and bills of material whilst maintaining accurate product data across our global network.
The team will ensure system accuracy and consistency across all databases. The role involves liaising with several different departments across the business including marketing, manufacturing, I&I, product management, supply chain, sales, technical, IT and our overseas offices, and will include the following responsibilities:
- Creating robust processes for new product creations on the ERP system
- Managing change requests to existing part codes and master data in the ERP system
- Product rationalisation
- Data validation and maintenance of information within the system including:
- Bill of materials (BOMs), stock locations, routing
- Creating labels using Access / Bartender
- Country of origin, commodity codes
- Other essential product data
- Updating of BOMs/routes/labels as new processes, machines and software are introduced
- Regular meetings with the regions to discuss any issues and plan for future product launches etc.
- Working with the marketing department on the implementation and upkeep of the company PIM system
Working hours
Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5.00pm (with flexibility within office hours of 7.00am-7.00pm Monday-Friday).
Who you are?
Full training will be given, but experience working in a similar role would be desirable. You should be able to communicate at a higher level, have a good understanding of, and previous exposure to global master data management processes and systems and be able to work well with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You should also be able to offer the following:
- Experience of working on projects with global teams.
- Experience of introducing new systems and processes.
- Working knowledge of PIM systems.
- Ability to manage data integrity and its governance.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and processes.
- Ability to create and follow guidelines and standard operation procedures.
- Computer literacy with a good knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Access and a high standard of Excel.
- Ability to think on feet and react quickly, able to work well under pressure from time to time.
- Willingness to learn about product applications and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Be well organised with good attention to detail.
- Good standard of maths and English.
- Product knowledge desirable, but not essential.
- Willingness to travel when required (driving licence required to travel across the various sites).
