Customer Service Representative - Canada

What is the role?
Reporting to and working closely with the operations manager, you will liaise extensively with both external and internal customers, including the Canadian external sales team, and have the following responsibilities:
· Handling inbound and outbound calls in a professional manner
· Processing sales orders received by phone, fax and email
· Ensure accurate pricing and discounts are applied to corresponding customer accounts and orders
· Resolving customer objections/ queries
· Producing and sending customer invoices
· Developing and maintaining customer relationships
· Monitor and update customer contact information within our database
· Develop an in-depth understanding of our inventory levels and purchasing processes, liaising with our UK and US operations teams on a daily basis
· Provide support to our external sales team as and when required
· Liaising with credit control on overdue accounts and various other departments across the business
· Taking part in and running seasonal promotions
· Carrying out any additional administrative duties for the department as required
· Help customers determine order lead times, order status and tracking information if requested
Please note – the office location of the business will relocate from Mississauga to Oakville during May, 2025.
Who you are
To be considered for the position, you must be able to offer the following:
· Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
· Fluent English language skills (both written and verbal communication).
· The ability to speak French is desirable
· A high level of organisation with a methodical approach and ability to follow through processes
· Good computer skills - in particular Excel & Outlook
· An ability to work on your own initiative and have a positive, "can-do" attitude, as well as being a team player who works well in a demanding and challenging environment
· An ability to think ahead and work under pressure, to handle complex and technical enquiries
· Excellent attention to detail and level of accuracy
· A good telephone manner
