Atmosphere is a very prestigious project and it consists of two tall towers and a ‘Deya’, the world’s first residential floating sky sculpture. Kolkata is highly susceptible to earthquakes, so a bracing solutions were required.

Gripple’s seismic solutions were installed throughout the building to support the mechanical and electrical services to minimize damage from an earthquake or seismic event.

A Gripple site engineer was on-site throughout the initial installation to provide training to the installers, and to also check the installation was done correctly.
The Gripple Seismic cable bracing kits have their own Load and Resistance Factor Designs (LRFD). The GS 12 kits are up to 10 times faster to install than traditional methods, along with having colour coded tags to allow for easy field verification. The seismic bracing kits come with a selection of pre-stretched cable, available in 10 ft, 15 ft and 20 ft lengths, pre-attached end fittings, and standard or retrofit brackets.

As part of the engineering service, Gripple also ensured that the bracing meets the seismic design requirements of the non-structural components, in regards to weight loads of the types of connection.
