Celebrating 30 years of problem solving innovation
Sheffield’s Gripple celebrates 30th birthday and the company says thank you
Gripple, the iconic wire joiner invented in Sheffield, is celebrating its 30th birthday after producing 800 million units and becoming a worldwide success story in the construction and agriculture industries.
With an employee-owned group of companies across the globe, Gripple welcomes the opportunity to commemorate this momentous milestone, to thank staff for their hard work and customers for their loyalty throughout this time.
More than 1000 staff in the UK and Europe are receiving in the post a ‘Best of British’ 30th Anniversary hamper filled with products such as cheese, chutney and shortbread plus a thank you message.
And staff at each of Gripple’s four Sheffield bases staff are displaying limited edition ‘anniversary’ workwear.
On the Gripple website customers are being thanked and invited to enter a prize draw to win a £150 Airbnb voucher, with 10 given to 10 customers.
Also, in a ‘30 charities in 30 countries’ scheme, the charities teams in Gripple companies in USA, France and the UK have been challenged to each support 10 charities in 10 different countries.
Hugh Facey, Gripple executive chairman, said: “We invented the Gripple wire joiner 30 years ago to simplify installation and maintenance of wire fencing. Today, it’s also a global brand in the construction world operating in more than 85 countries. Our success is testament to our Gripple people all over the world and the culture of innovation we’ve created. Here’s to the next 30 years!”
