Gripple's technical and sales teams worked closely with Modern Niagara to ensure that their teams we're supplied with the ideal solution for each MEP trade, overall simplifying the installation and ensuring compliancy throughout the process.
Adrian Pery, Labor Manager for Modern Niagara, explains: “On the electrical side we're installing a lot of conduit racking systems and cable tray systems. For Gripple product, we're using the UniGrip Y-fit. We really felt that it was an innovative product it was a lot better than the traditional racking systems we we're using, saving us time on site. Installing the Gripple Y-fit is half the time it would take for traditional racking and eliminates the need of threaded rod."
By using Gripple's UniGrip range, Modern Niagara was able to cut down their labor by 50% while at the same time ensuring safety due to the kits being lightweight, eliminating the need to cut threaded rod, and a simple installation process.
Installing the Gripple UniGrip Y-Fit takes about half the time it would take compared to traditional racking systems.
For the ventilation of the project, Modern Niagara chose to also utilize the Gripple UniGrip system to suspend all of their HVAC and air filtration systems. Scott LaFontaine, Sheet Metal Foreman from Modern Niagara explains: "We made a whole cost comparison, we had one guy using rod and unistrut our typical standard way and then we used the UniGrip systems - the contractor using UniGrip came out on top everytime. Going forward that's our preferred way of hanging ductwork."
With thousands of feet of piping to be installed, Modern Niagara opted to utilize the Gripple GCS Clamp. With only one unit variation and the ability to fasten between 0.5 vs 9 inches in diameter it is one of the most versatile products in our portfolio.
David Marchand, Piping Foreman from Modern Niagara, explains: "We just learned about these GCS Clamps recently on this project and have been using it to secure pipes onto a unistrut system. The easy adjustability from 0.5 to 9 inches helps multi trades. When I secure GCS to the pipe, an insulator is able to come afterwards and loosen it to their liking, allowing for a much quicker installation process."
The GCS clamp provides a versatile and error free installation for the contractor.
Use Gripple. Its the way to go honestly, it looks good, its easy, its effective. As I've said we've done tests on it and it always comes out on top.
