The new six-storey self-storage facility, will provide indoor temperature-controlled units for the people of Oakville. Gripple supplied its Duct Trapeze suspension system for suspending single rectangular ductwork.

The building is constructed from metal deck and Gripple was chosen by Medwin Mechanical for the suspension of the rectangular ductwork. This project had been moving slowly, Medwin Mechanical had the challenge of installing the rectangular duct with a very tight timeline given by the main contractor Penalta.

After a Gripple representative arrived on-site they could see the benefits of using Gripple. Gripple’s Duct Trapeze was chosen as the most suitable product which offered quick installation compared to traditional methods, flexibility for height adjustment and improved health and safety on-site which enabled the contractor to finish the installation well before their given deadline.

The Gripple Duct Trapeze is an industry approved product, ideal for single and multi-tiered suspension of rectangular ductwork, on this project it was used for single suspension. The adjustment pin allowed for rapid adjustment, with no Setting Key required. Along with being safe to install as no tools or ‘hot works’ were required for the installation.

By using Gripple the Contractor was able to save 42 hours in total due the quick installation time which meant they were able to complete their part of the project well before the given deadline.
