You will need to be able to communicate effectively at lots of different levels, from site-operatives to directors of multi-million businesses, including lots of known brands. The role offers you the chance to get involved in a variety of key construction projects, from major hospitals, universities and schools, to retail, sports and large distribution centres.
The most common trait of a successful salesperson is his or her ability to negotiate, to listen and persuade, and ultimately to deal with, and manage people. These are all skills which engender the basic trust that bonds customers with the business and beyond that, skills which are all fundamental to being a great leader in any area of the business.
